Do you have a degree in HR/Management (or a related field) and at least 5 years of working in Human Resources? Our client, a global environmental organization headquartered in downtown Washington, DC is looking for a Temporary HR Specialist to cover two back-to-back maternity leaves starting in early May. This assignment should last for 10 months or so.
This person will be focused on supporting the organization’s staff in the US and is engaged in a broad range of HR functions, including hiring and on-boarding, benefits administration, maintenance of accurate employee data, documenting processes and procedures, and compliance.
Benefits duties will include reviewing benefits billings for accuracy, assisting with annual open enrollment, managing leaves of absences, and conducting benefits audits. Recruitment activities will include managing postings for open positions in ADP Workforce Now and other sites. Will also ensure job descriptions follow the organization’s guidelines, set up interviews, and conduct reference and background checks. Other duties will include Onboarding and Offboarding, managing training logistics for staff, and ensuring that data in the online systems is up to date.
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in HR/Management (or a related field) and at least 7 years of work experience in HR and benefits administration. Strong MS Office skills are needed and ADP Workforce Now experience is highly preferred.
